| | Company Description | The Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics is a unique collaborative venture among the Mayo Clinic, University of Minnesota, and State of Minnesota. The Partnership seeks to position Minnesota as a world leader in biotechnology and medical genomics applications that will result in important new medical discoveries, thereby improving health care for patients and supporting the development of new business and jobs in Minnesota.
The Partnership is governed by a joint Steering Committee of research and administrative leaders from both institutions. Meeting regularly, it provides vision and strategic leadership.
Minnesota Partnership competitive infrastructure grants are awarded annually, based on funding from the Minnesota legislature.
The Minnesota Partnership's goals include: Major improvements in health care, Attracting new industry, Creating quality jobs, Bringing revenue from out of state, Expanding the tax base, Increasing the flow of federal research dollars into Minnesota, and Enhancing the state as a destination for health care. | |
